Festival of Indonesia's Nusantara Batiks, Embroidery and Tenun Textiles 2015

A large array of hand-made textiles from across the Indonesian Archipelago will be on exhibit at the Graha Manggala Siliwangi  Building in Bandung, capital of West Java from 15-19 April 2015, called the Nusantara Batiks, Embroidery and woven Tenun textiles Festival 2015.

The Festival is held as an expression of the people's love for their culture, at the same time aimed to seek out lovers of Indonesian batiks, embroidery and hand-woven textiles as individually produced throughout the country.

Indonesia's diverse cultures are a true asset and unending inspiration for artistic creations, where Batik, Embroidery and woven textiles are just a few to mention among  the wide variety of artistic works that are  globally recognized.

With this perspective in mind, Maxxindo Communication joined hands with Khrishna Studio to organize  this event.

Through the Festival it is hoped that Indonesia's indigenous textiles in batik, embroidery and weaving will be recognized as indisputably Indonesia's  authentic own and not being claimed by any other country.

The Exhibition will have 120 booths, participated by artisans, business people, and designers in batik, embroidery and hand-woven Tenun textiles.  Visitors will be indulged not only with the large variety, texture and motifs of Indonesian textiles but the event will also be highlighted with fashion shows, talkshows, workshops and competitions.

This is your opportunity to collect some of Indonesia's best  regional textiles, that include batiks from BandungCimahi, Cirebon,  PekalonganYogyaSolo, Pati, Jepara, Tasikmalaya's embroidery, fine woven songket textiles from PalembangWest Nusatenggara and East NusatenggaraBali, Sumatra and a host of others.

My opinion : As with other cultural festival. Festival archipelago batik even this is quite important because it can foster a love of young children Indonesia against our original batik and as a means of keeping going culture in Indonesia.
